Plague Busters with Lindsey Fitzharris and Adrian Teal
PLEASE NOTE: This requires a ticket which can be purchased for just £5 here
FOR the very first time, Plague Busters is available in the UK! Dr Lindsey Fitzharris and her husband Adrian Teal will showcase their new children’s book, aimed at all kids big and small!
In this exclusive event Lindsey and Adrian will discuss the ickiest illnesses that have infected humans and affected civilisations through the ages.
Each chapter explores the story of a disease, including the scary symptoms, kooky cures and brilliant breakthroughs that it spawned. Lindsey lays out the facts with her trademark wit while Adrian adds humor with cartoons and caricatures drawn in pitch black and blood red. Diseases covered include bubonic plague, smallpox, rabies, tuberculosis, cholera and scurvy.
It will be a cosy affair with an interactive Q&A and the opportunity to meet Lindsey and Adrian, who will happily sign copies of their book. If you have time you can browse the museum and the surrounding area….Disclaimer you might meet the friendly ghosts and cholera victims who lurk near by!
