What better way to get into the festive spirit than joining us at this free service hosted in the stunning Glasgow Cathedral? Read on to find out more!
Revd Mark Johnstone, Minister at the cathedral, will conduct a service along with friend and colleague Revd John Purves. They are possibly the coolest, most inclusive ministers we have ever met and really make everyone feel welcome!
We are also delighted to have St Mungo’s Primary School Choir and Laudato Si Action group join us as well as the talented Telemann Ensemble, who will perform some of the music. Prof Malcolm Sim, consultant anaesthetist, will be our organist.
Festive attire is optional (well it’s not really – get those jumpers, Santa hats and deely boppers dusted down!). The cathedral can be chilly so remember to wrap up warmly.
From 4.30pm:
Refreshment reception, FOGRI Museum (please do not go to The Cathedral before 5.15pm). We will have Nosecco and festive nibbles plus a fabulous raffle!
The museum is located on the left as you face the cathedral and the entrance is on Cathedral Precinct, up the stairs. Accessible access to the museum is via the hospital entrance on Castle Street.
5.30-6.30pm:
Christmas Carol Service, Glasgow Cathedral.
While the event is free can we ask you to register here just to give us an idea of numbers.
There will be a collection on the night, the proceeds of which will be split between St Mungo’s Primary School, Glasgow Cathedral and Friends of GRI. (A QR code to donate available too).
