ARE you a budding journalist, photographer or videographer looking for a chance to showcase your skills and expand your portfolio? Then The Friends of Glasgow Royal Infirmary would love to hear from you!
Glasgow Royal Infirmary is Glasgow’s oldest hospital and a place where discoveries were made that changed the face of medicine around the world forever. The Friends of GRI charity recently opened a museum and gardens to highlight some of these groundbreaking moments as well as significant artefacts related to this iconic building.
We are now searching for skilled and enthusiastic content creators to help us spread the word. Interviews, events, news stories, historical writing, garden activities and much, much more are available to cover in word, photograph and video. As well as your work being published on The Friends of GRI website, it will also be sent to local and national media where appropriate.
In addition we have help from people involved in the national media who will be able to provide feedback on your work in the hope it will help you develop your own skills further and hopefully secure a role in the profession if that is what you desire. You will also have the option to be included on our Media Academy page so you can show your involvement to any prospective employers.
This is a volunteer only opportunity. No regular commitment is required as we know there are always competing priorities. We just ask you to communicate if your plans do change or if you can no longer make a commitment.
If you’d like to get involved or would like more information then please get in touch! Just send an email to info@friendsofgri.org
