YESTERDAY we had a wonderful afternoon creating our Biodiversity Garden. Friends of Glasgow Museums and Edrington supported this venture financially and it was so lovely to have volunteers from both organisations come and help with the work.
We were also able to lean on Lisa Swift, who is the most wonderful horticulturalist based at Glasgow Botanic Gardens. Her expertise and guidance has proved to be invaluable in bringing our vision to life. Without Lisa there would be no gardens.
The pupils at St Mungo’s Primary School have painted decorative stones for use in the garden. We lacquered them yesterday in preparation for displaying them. We also planted some herbs in relation to our forthcoming Rottenrow exhibition.
The very talented Fabrizio Fella came along to take some wonderful pictures of the day. The full album is on our Facebook page here.
