WE are looking forward to putting dialysis patients in the picture – thanks to an art exhibition displaying their works!
Sunshine On A Dull Day – due to run from August 24 – will contain drawings, paintings, prints and handmade papers created by patients in the renal dialysis unit at GRI.
These displays – which will be free to see – are intended to capture the joy and escapism when art and creativity are incorporated as part of a normal routine.
They were created as part of a year-long project involving Art in Hospital called Art in Renal Care, supported by Creative Scotland and NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.
Sunshine On A Dull Day takes its title from patient Donna McCartney’s work of the same name, which features in the flyer for the event (see photo).
Entry to the FOGRI Museum is via Cathedral Precinct. Disabled access is via the main hospital entrance at Centre Block, off Castle Street.
